If elephants were people:
       the Mona Lisa would be ikebana:
                 Mozart would compose catchy perfumes
    and the radio would be a directed flow of scents.
Gypsies would tell fortunes from trunks
    and sniffing could be considered shameful harassment.
           Everyone would be careful: because nothing would ever be forgotten
        and several colossal monuments would be erected to celebrate forgetting.
Calling someone "snotty"
       would not be considered a serious offense:
   no one would be offended: that lovers sometimes
                  lead each other by the nose:
              although it might seem highly absurd to some
                      to consider those Neanderthals Mammoths as relatives.
