Never forget to wish "good night"
- even during the day -
because Morpheus might be offended
and take revenge on you:
if he finds out that you take good night for granted
- he knows very well:
how helpless we are in front of him
and usually doesn't miss an opportunity to mock us
and show us beauties: what a passionate and peculiar
hairdresser he is.
In sleep: we are distant:
we often go back to the past:
we wander waist-deep in water:
roam inside the savannah with the mess in head:
gather nuts and wild beans
and fight over the remains of the carcasses:
from which we drove the hyenas away -
actually a moment before waking up:
we swallow the last bite
- don't you believe?
:place your hands on your face and exhale.
When I look at my sleeping woman:
I see: how she often screams and struggles with the predominance
- she looks hostile:
her eyes are open and moving behind her eyelids
and when she accidentally looks at me - her gaze is cold and alien.
She is curled up under the blanket like a winding meander
and I am afraid: when I lie down next to her
as if I were lying down next to an Amazon.
So it's not worth forgetting about decency: when you go to sleep:
after all: every time we wake up: we pay respect to our ancestors
with a moment of silence
and punish with our anger anyone
who would want even a word from us.
As if we felt with some part of our mind:
that it is extremely outrageous to behave
in such a disrespectful manner
and to disturb us while we had not yet fully recalled
those historical moments:
when our furry grandfathers slowly stood up
and stepped headlong towards the universe.
