I realized: that we have definitely been under water for more than ten minutes: and yet
I feel almost no need to breathe. Even though I have always loved swimming - I had the
opportunity to observe this benefit of inplant on myself for the first time: and with pleasure
I synchronized the waves of my body with Lena's.
I forgot all the violence and explosions and death: all my wounds and gunshots and
broken bones - and glided in the gently sloping line of our stream.
       We were beautiful.
I wanted Peter to see us now.
We floated into a large bubble cloud and slowly rose to the surface: lying on the roof
of the shuttle.
I spread my arms and waited for the water level to come with my eyes closed.
When I opened them - a few meters in front of us - three black army thrushes were
standing next to each other in the air: trembling slightly.
       The shuttle doors opened automatically.
Lena sat up and the thrushes jumped a little closer.
       The cockpit windows became transparent.
We froze in the cold gazes of pilots.
Behind us: a sharp splash suddenly erupted.
The shuttle wobbled: and the belly of another fighter appeared above our heads - but
this one was longer: slimmer and next to its gradually emerging dark green sisters - it seemed
much more: and more and more dangerous - it slowly approached the middle black bird and
lightly pecked it in the nose.
"Come on:" said Lena: pulling me down from the roof: "we're leaving."
As I sat down next to her: I smelled the co-pilot's cedar perfume: and it made me want
to vomit. I like men's fragrances: but this one will forever be a stench from the grave for
me.
"Are you OK?" Lena asked: touching my shoulder.
I nodded: "and you? .. you're terribly hot."
"My body will probably need some repairs - considering recent events:" she said and
started the engines.
"I don't think it could happen today:" she continued intently: "but if by chance I will
not answer and not show signs of consciousness - you must never put me under the lamp Alia: it
is very important - I must never go under the lamp! Or otherwise connect to the land c. Do you
understand?"
