For reasons not entirely known to me: I've always liked vines and thick ivy on walls
and fences: which is why I fell in love with Hydron's interiors at first sight: when they
introduced him online as the academy's new flagship: "forget metal design: the future of
distant voyages is found in coexistence:" spoke a young muscular cadet wrapped only in fig
leaves.
In a few days: I auditioned for the crew: just as a joke - they wouldn't take me
anyway - but they took me and we set sail in ten months - my plans: to come back to save
the planet: were postponed.
But later: I stayed on Lyra again: because I wanted to work in my field: and I also
got used to life above the clouds: like most space sailors and fishermen - I couldn't give
up the starry panorama - so I was very happy now - that we finally managed to go to the
Maldives: "Life is not the color of steel." :said the handsome cadet and stroked my arm:
"the future is in unison:" I replied flirtatiously .. and was awakened by the sound of my
own voice.
I was lying on the bed and a slender woman with long fingers was tending to the wound
on my shoulder. The room was densely overgrown with strange vines with round leaves: that
emitted a soft bioluminescent light.
"Where am I?" I asked
"Hello Alia: you're on the EDFS Moray: you were thrown into space by defused torpedo.
One of our pilots caught you and brought you here:" she answered me in a little cold: but
friendly voice.
"ED..?"
"Ember Defense Fleet Ship."
I smiled. Fleet. Mowgli.
"And my ship?"
"We repelled the attack on your ship eight hours ago. Our technicians are completing
repairs. No. You should still stay in bed."
I stood up: it got dark in front of my eyes: and I had to lie down again.
"Okay:" I told her sleepily "what's your name?"
"Lena:" she said and covered me with a soft: slightly lemon-scented blanket.
